information about yemen  HadiboYemen, Shabwah
Although I am vegetarian (with very rare exceptions), that day, 11th November, I had to eat a leg of this tender goat because my French friend, for his birthday, invited me. Oh my Goodness, I felt guilty during two days afterwards. I hope that his spirit will forgive me!

Jorge, how could you?!!
What a pity we did not meet, that day I also celebrated my birthday at Dihamri beach, I will upload the photo of my birthday cake for you to see.....

Yes Neda, I still feel bad about the goat. I am so sorry…!
Better would have been celebrating your birthday at Dihamri beach, eating lobsters and vegetables!
I look forward to see your birthday pictures.

What should lions and tigers, whales and dolphins, dogs and snakes eat? :- )

Rudi, for them is OK, it is their nature, they have to follow it. But the humane being has the possibility to be vegetarian as well, pure vegetarian. In danger of survival, men can also eat meat, but it is more genuine and moral to be vegetarian. It is only my opinion, I do not pretend to proselytise, and I myself also eat meat from time to time, although I feel guilty afterwards.

Poor goat! if it will not be eaten by you, a local would have taken care of it, don t feel so guilty! It is part of their culture..

jorge - I bet you never expected so many messages here!

David, you are right. My first idea was to post this picture under the series: I sell.... (I sell a goat), without mentioning that my French friend bought it and we ate it. Poor goat!

In the words of PG Wodehouse, I am sure the Goat died quickly without prior knowledge and if so I think he experienced that kind of transition for which I hope myself. What better form can this necessary act of all lives take?

Hugh, thank you. Yes, now I feel much better. Muslims state more or less the same. They told me that Allah created the goats and other animals to feed men. So, the goat accomplishes a sacred goal being sacrificed. Furthermore, Muslims follow the old traditional way to kill animals, cutting their neck. It might seem cruel, but the animal does not suffer. Instead, in an electrical shock, as we do in Western Europe, the animal suffers more and the effects of killing animals by electrification is bad, and the meat is not so pure because of the blood remaining inside the animal. The old Egyptians taught Moses that, and that is why Jews and then Muslims follow that good tradition. Christians have forgotten it.
