Nakhichevan' - Azerbaijan, Naxç©van This was a most enjoyable visit in Nakhicevan. The two young ladies in charge accompanied me to the excursion around this museum that in the past was the Palace of a Sultan. They explained me the technique to make the carpets manually, with old instruments, according to a millenary tradition. There were paintings and photographs of the place and the Sultan members. Taking pictures inside is forbidden, but… the ladies were so nice that, secretly, they allowed me to take several photos of magnificent chef d’oeuvres carpets. Entrance is almost for free, very cheap, and at the entrance you have to take your shoes off and wear special sandals, in order not to spoil the wooden floor inside.
