Gustavia - Guadeloupe, Guadeloupe The beaches of Saint Martin are crowded with tourists, but in St Barths the tourists were few and far between. Besides there was a luxurious hotel, but I did not sleep there. Instead I slept next door, on the sand of the beach.

Showers were on the same beach, and for breakfast I climbed the coconut trees nearby to cut one of them, drink its juice and then eat the pulp inside. Really, for me that was paradise.
