There are regular flights to Saint Pierre from Halifax or Montreal, and boats from Newfoundland. Saint Pierre is France in North America with all the advantages (good food, good wines, croissants, pate and delicious cheeses), but also with all the disadvantages (everything is outrageous expensive).
