How old it was ? krisek - Jun, 03 2008 05:06pm I think it was built around VI or VII century. krisek - Jun, 03 2008 06:06pm Actually, I just checked and it was founded in 303, two years after Armenia adopted Christianity as a state religion (the first country in the world), which makes it the oldest Christian Cathedral in the world. It is also the seat of the head of the Church in Armenia.
