The oasis town of Ghadames on the Sahara Desert is one of the most fascinating medieval Berber towns on our planet. UNESCO listed Ghadames as a World Heritage Site. It is truly magical and wandering in the arched streets interconnected in a form of a labyrinth of the old town is utterly unforgettable. The old is still functioning in parts, although the majority of the population now live in the new town. The old town was closed for the night in the past. These days, there are some great places in the old town to stay overnight, dine or just relax over a shisha. The passages, which run across the old town sometimes have skylights, which create a great atmosphere of the place. This album attempts to illustrate the beauty of the oasis.
