I only went to Peru for two weeks, but I must have taken more than a thousand photographs. I snapped along even in places, which were not considered entirely safe, like Lima or parts of Cusco, particularly at night. The night was one my favourite time, because the streets were calmer and the cities were beautifully lit. My favourite places, at the other hand, were Arequipa, Cruz del Condor, Chan Chan, Machupicchu, Cordillera Blanca, Sillustani...
