A trip to Egypt was a race between my friend and I. I won, as I went there first, but it was strangely a spontaneous decision to go. I was working on a long term project in Belgium, and did not have much room to manoeuvre. I did not use much of my holiday in the year, and as my allowance was going to expire on 31 December, I needed to go somewhere last minute. It was Egypt then. I told a tour agent what I wanted to do, and they booked everything for me within an agreed budget. I went to Hurghada for a beach, Aswan, Luxor, the Nile cruise (it is a must!), and Cairo including Giza, Saqqara and Memphis. This is a collection of photos I took. They date back to the year of 2000.
