I went to Somaliland to see the prehistoric rock art. There are a number of places these cave paintings can be visited, but the most remarkable are those in Las Geel. I had to obtain a permit from the Ministry of Culture & Tourism (USD 30 per site), but I ended up meeting and shaking hands with the Minister himself. It was tricky to take decent photographs, but since they were well preserved and the colours were vivid, it was easier than I thought it might be. Enjoy the pictures!
