Luxembourg City, the capital of the only Grand Duchy on our planet. It proudly enjoys one of the most dramatic, spectacular and unusual location of all European capitals. The city grew from an ancient Roman watch tower and over six centuries it developed Europe's most fascinating fortifications. Only some of them remain, but there is enough that UNESCO listed the old districts and fortifications of Luxembourg City as a World Cultural Heritage Site. I went to Luxembourg for a weekend, and I was lucky to catch a glimpse of jazz festival. It was huge. It felt like a summer carnival with a massive street party until wee hours of the morning.
