Torre de Hercules - Travel tip by jorgesanchez

Member opinion: This lighthouse, first constructed by the Romans almost 2000 years ago, is still in use and constitutes a wonder. It is candidate to be included in the UNESCO Patrimonies of the Humankind in the future.
It is located close to the port. The entrance fee is 2 euros and then you can climb up until the top enjoying breathtaking views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean.
From La Coruña starts the Camino Ingles until Santiago. To La Coruña port arrived in the past the ships with English pilgrims anxious to reach Santiago. It will take you three days to reach Santiago on foot. You will find a pilgrim’s shelter in Bruma, where you can spend the night for free and prepare your dinner in the kitchen.
