There's poetry in your description. How long have you lived there, and if you don't mind me asking, what do you do? I'm an English teacher, and I love it. I love everything about language.

You really ought to write an article about Saigon. I think there is a different perspective on places that you live vs. places you visit.

How long have you been living in Asia? The closest I've come is teaching in New Zealand, where 95% of my students were Asian (most of them Chinese). It was an eyeopener. The culture is intrinsically different from Western countries. At first I found it very difficult, but gradually I began to appreciate the subtleties.

great pic

I do like the pic- you look like an Aussie traveling the world in that one.

I AM currently in Barcelona, but i'm leaving in a week. I just signed a two year contract in The Maldives. Barcelona is a fabulous city- unlike any other. I wrote an article on it, and a few entries on my personal website. This is a city that captures me- and I'm not a city girl. There's just something magic about it. I think it begins with the architecture and spreads through the people.

How is Vietnam? I've been thinking about it quite a lot recently. I plan to do a lot of exploring in Asia in the next two years. Why is it your favorite?
