Masala Zone - Travel tip by krisek

pictureMember opinion: This is a very average Indian restaurant in Camden. Service is very, very slow, although the waiters are polite. Food, hmm... could be much better. It tastes a little like someone who is just learning how to cook made it. This is not a typical curry house and curries make only part of the menu. The set menus with a selection of starters and mains are very poor value, as the sample starters et al come in minute tiny portions. I ordered jalfrezi with chicken and it tasted worse than a ready meal from Waitrose (although this supermarket is better than many others in the UK). The starters were slightly better but they took forever to arrive.

The restaurant has a few other venues around London, one in Covent Garden, Soho, Islington, and Earl's Court.

They do not accept reservations unless for groups of 10 or more.

To summarise - the food is not that bad, that is why I am giving a neutral rating, but there are many, many, many, very many much better Indian restaurants in London.
