Ramena is a small village in the northern part of Madagascar, 18 km from Antsiranana (Diego Suarez). It is famous for its idyllic beaches and peaceful bush hiding emerald bays and secluded guesthouses, perfect for holidays far from civilisation. The view of the second largest natural bay in the world are perfect from the road leading to Ramena. Beyond, there is Orangina, a military base, where soldiers are very friendly but do not have much to do. However the base is located at a historically strategic point, Cap de Mine, which still shows the remains of the WWII defense structures and machinery. [edit text][editors]
