Bangsar travel tips

Telawi Street Bistro
This Bistro needs no introduction. It is the hottest spot in Bangsar for fine dining and perfect for a evening night out with friends or that special someone. Part bar, part bistro, this sophisticated hangout offers fabulous modern European food -- imaginatively prepared seafood and meaty main courses -- supplemented by a solid wine list and an excellent cocktail menu. The best tables are al-fresco, and the upstairs bar transforms into a dance floor when dining is done. more

Cungdinh Vietnam Restaurant
Fancy Asian Vietnamese cuisine ? You must sample the food from this lovely Vietnamese kitchen. The Beef noodles are to die for! This restaurant is located in the Bangsar suburb of KL. Serving fine Vietnamese cuisine on trendy One Bangsar food street, Cungdinh is a favorite of well-to-do Bangsar residents. The menu runs the gamut from pho (noodle soup) to bo la lot (beef grilled in betelnut leaves) and live traditional music adds to the Vietnamese mood. Hours: more

La Bodega
In the morning, get great Breakfast here! For 22RM, you get a superb meal of Continental Breakfast, with your favourite freshly squeezed fruit juice and with your favourite brewed coffee. I personally prefer the Latte. Popular amongst expats and Bangsarians and packed on weekend mornings and Friday evenings. The elegant La Bodega dining room offers a broad menu of Spanish tapas and Latin-infused fusion cuisine. more

Restoran Devi's Corner
You would probably think of having hawker food in this porch and rich suburb of KL but heres the local's hidden secret. Have a Teh Tarik and a Roti Canai at Devis! Massively popular with Bangsarians and expats, Devi's Corner is a modern update on the traditional hawker court theme. Separate counters serve excellent South Indian Muslim food - tandoori kebabs, lentil flour dosas (savory pancakes), fish and chicken curries - and Malay staples like lime-leaf scented beef rendang and roti canai (fried unleavened bread with a zesty curry dipping sauce). Come early if you hope to grab a table at lunchtime. The kitchen closes for an hour in the early morning (5am-6am). more
