Member opinion: The local village of Malevu is a very beautiful and remote destination in the Yasawas in Fiji. You can stay with the local villagers in Malevu and experience the traditional Fijian way of life, including tasting the local traditional food. The locals can also take you to beautiful places for trekking, octopus catching, snorkeling, & more. Very cheap daily rate of F$70/adult including all traditional meals, laundry, child minding etc!! Money you pay to the village when you arrive also goes back to the local community to support village projects.
