Sydney is known in Australia as the Harbour City, and structures on the Harbour such as the Sydney Opera House, which is one of the most distinctive and famous 20th century buildings and one of the most famous performing arts venues in the world, and the Sydney Harbour are globally recognised icons of the city. Sydney is regularly declared to be one of the most beautiful and liveable cities in the world. Port Jackson, also known as Sydney Harbour, is the naturel harbour of Sydney. The area surrounding Sydney Harbour (called Warrane by the aborigines) has been inhabited by Aboriginal tribes for at least 40,000 years. Although urbanisation has destroyed most evidence of these settlements , there are still rock carvings in several locations.

Favourite spots:
Sydeny Olympic Stadium
Sydeny Olympic Stadium
The Harbour Bridge, linking the North and South of the city, built in 1932, is a very beautiful and balanced iron archway, nicknamed the “coathanger”. If you are adventurers yoy can climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge and rated it as fantastic. Its the climb of your life ! Between the Opera and the Bridge, Circular Quay is the public transports node. Ferries, buses and trains leave from here. Enjoy the ferry rides! Hyde Park, It is a green garden among the skyscrapers. North of the garden, Archibald Fountain is very nice. You can visit Taronga Zoo but it’s better visit parks around Sydney. If you need greeness, Hyde Park, it's a green garden among the skyscrapers. North of the garden, Archibald Fountain is playing with the light. The fountain is at the foot of Center Park, the city’s viewpoint and revolving restaurant.
Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush Bay is a great structure and still creates plenty of the Olympic Games' atmosphere.

What's really great:
Sydney Opera
Sydney Opera
The Opera House of Sydney, from the architect Jorn Utzon, is “the” postcard from the city.We are very lucky to find tickets for “The Swan Lake” with the Australian Opera and Ballet Opera, wonderful spectacle. But if you are going to Sydney don’t forget to visit the Aquarium. I’m really enjoyed it although I wouldn't consider it the best acquarium. What's nice is that it specializes in Australia's marine life and covers all areas well. Most spectacular are the exhibits where you walk through glass tunnels while fish and sharks swim around you with a marvelous music.

Sights:
Three Sisters Blue Mountain

Bondi Beach is a hugely popular beach and suburb of Sydey. It is situated in the Eastern suburb, several kilometres from the centre of the city.
The Blue Mountains, roughly 100 kilometres west of Sydney, are a range of sandstone mountains. The Three Sisters are one of the Blue Mountains' top attractions.

Accommodations:
Bondi Beach
Bondi Beach
There's a Sydney Visitors Center if you need in-depth details about the city and hotels. We founded “the Grace Hotel”, wonderful hotel with very helpful staff, at half price because it was Visitor’s center promotion.

Nightlife:
Sydney and the Sky Tower
Sydney and the Sky Tower
The Sky Tower lounge at 300 meters above Sydney offers the most breathtaking views of Sydney and its Harbour.

Hangouts:
The Pub is over with people
The Pub is over with people
There are a lot of pubs and every day, thousand's workers afternoon break even to drink beers, and you are hearing a noise as an aviary. You must be member to enter it. So we bought a member's card and we drank our beers with them.

Restaurants:
Sydney's Aquarium
Sydney's Aquarium
The restaurants are a little expensive but there are a lot of cafe where you can eat cheap. But if you go to the Fish Market, you can eat oysters or fresh seafoods and white wine for a moderate price on the Harbour.

Other recommendations:
Jenolan Caves
Jenolan Caves
Jenolan Caves, a spectacular series of limestone caves that is regarded as one of the world's best, lies 45 kilometres (70 kilometres by road) to the south west of Katoomba.
The Katoomba Scenic Railway the steepest railway in the world and originally part of the Katoomba mining tramways constructed between 1878 and 1900. The cable railway line descends 415 meters through sandstone cliffs, via a rock tunnel with a maximum gradient, it’s very funny.
