Prague - Czech Republic, Hlavni Mesto Praha The Narodni Memorial commemorates 1989 revolution against communism. A bronze with eight hands marks the spot where hundreds of students were beaten by the riot police. On 17 November 1989, a 50,000-strong official student demonstration was on its way to Wenceslas Square when they were confonted by the police in Narodni Trida. The students refused to disperse and peacefully sat down in protest. Suddenly the police attacked them, fortunately without loss of life. This monument is on the wall near no 16 Narodni Trida, under the arches.
