Aachen - Germany, Nordrhein-Westfalen The façade of the Townhall is adorned with statues of 50 German rulers. Charlemagne and Pope Leo III are in the centre. The building stands on the site of Charlemagne's Palace. The Christmas market is in full swing and I will have to come back another time of the year to take more (and better) photos
