Planty Park is the green belt surrounding the city centre. Slow walkers will do the whole round in 2 hours, trained walkers will need half that time. It is a very pleasant place to spend a summer afternoon. It seems as if all inhabitants of Krakow come here in summer for a daily visit. They sit on one of the many benches, eat sesame rings or ice creams bought from one of the numerous kiosks on the way. They rest for a while and watch the world go by. It is a shady place, trees and flowers everywhere. Traffic noise and pollution are minimal.
