A hike through the mountains

This time I had two friends with me and we started from Nedalshytta, in Norway, to Sylarna (17 km), Helags (21 km) and Ljungdalen (18 km). When starting from Nedalshytta the first 200 m are straight up. This is may be the toughest part in direction Sylarna, so take it easy, do not hurry. After this there are no huge climbings any more, I would say that it is hilly, more or less the hole way to Ljungdalen. The track has a lot of rocks on it the first one and a half day, after that grass is coming more and more as it goes down to a lower level.

When leaving Sylarna go up on Herrklumpen (a little hard) the view is magnificent. Take time to climb up on the Helads glacer, what shall I say, also a great view.

What's really great:

Standing at the Helags glaicer, feel the ice with the hand and try to imagine how long it has taken for the ice to get here.

Accommodations:

Sylarnas station can offer more compared to Helags hut, there is a larger offer of groceries and fresh food. A tent is of course possible to use.

Nightlife:

No clubs, use the day room or the kitchen to meat poeple.

Hangouts:
No pubs, but in the grocery stores beer and snacks are sold. In the evening most people are sitting in the day room/kitchen and are having a good time.

Restaurants:
No restaurants, self cooking.
