Great Sights (Melbourne) - Travel tip by suhadis

pictureMember opinion: This tour operator provides convenient day tours. I went on the 'Great Ocean Road Explorer' day tours, and found it really informative. Beats the hassles of driving there yourself, as the tour guide times the stops accurately so that almost all the points are covered on the route. (But Note - they do NOT stop at the surf shops at Torquay). The bus really zips by the cliffs on the Great Ocean Road. Being in a bus seat also means you're seeing having a higher view point as compared to sitting in a car. Some of the scenery along this coast is truly magnificent and breathtaking. Plus you might go koala or kangaroo spotting on this trip. Morning tea is provided, but you're on your own for lunch. But do have some breakfast - the tour leaves at 8am. The guide I had had in depth knowledge of the places visited. My recommendation - bring an extra battery for your digital camera, it'll prob run out towards the last places (Port Campbell) where you'll be really snapping scenes.
