Tam the capital of Ahaggar.

Capital of the Tuareg world and a destination that I had heard much about from overlanders way back when I was still at school. Laid back and with charm.

Favourite spots:

Marche Nigerien Marche Centrale Just wandering around the town

What's really great:

Late afternoon in the middle of town. The view from Hadriane. The warmth fo the welcome.

Accommodations:

Gite Saharienne - not the cheapest place in town but good food and good company.

Other recommendations:

Top of Hadriane. Hadriane
sits just outside Tamanrasset.
I believe that is slightly to the
south. It's quite easy to ascend
and the views are great.
