Inhambane, still considered to be located in the southern parts of Mozambique endless coast, is a small colonial place with dramatic oceanfront, picturesque churches and mosques, tastefully organised alleys and posh villas from the previous period. The port and the busy pier are not the most attractive part of the town, but the contrasting grand mansions and the interesting building of the main post office make it up. The town is also a main base for escapades to the nearby beaches, since Inhambane beach is not the best in the area. The place has a good number of decent hotels and guesthouses, but places to eat (although plentiful) are not the best. [edit text][editors]
