Member opinion: This is my favorite Biergarten in Munich! Tucked well away from noise and traffic, on the Isar west bank amoungst a forest of trees. Sometimes I jog past it and offen can't resist stoping for a "mass" (litre of beer) and spare ribs or grilled chicken! The beergarden is open whenever weather is good but they also have a "stuberl" (a cozy inn-type restaurant) otherwise or in winter. Hard to find and beware, walkers and joggers might send you in circles looking for this place! Even the map "anfahrt.jpg" on their website is confusing and shows it on the east bank. It is on the WEST bank, there is only a small kiosk on the east bank in that area! [...will inform them, hope to get a freebee?]
