Kirkenes is the terminus of the Norwegian Coastal Voyage which leaves Bergen daily. If you are staying for the return voyage, you are effectively choosing between an official boat trip to see the Russian Border or to the Sør-Varanger Museum, which temporarily includes the Savio Museum. You might wonder what those who pay considerably more for the Russian Border are expecting to see. The museum is in a lovely position and is splendid, particularly the Savio part.
