Bali Bombings

Here, in Australia we are a nation in shock and at the moment are collectively holding our breath hoping against all hope that the death toll will not climb higher. I feel for the local Balinese and all the other nationalities from all over the world that have also lost their loved ones but I weep for what this island paradise has lost, and hope that it is not forever. I have two thoughts that sum up my feelings; the first is relating to thoughts now; "Nothing speaks our grief so well, As to speak nothing" - Richard Cranshaw and in relation to the domino effect that terrorism creates; "Do not look back in anger, or forward in fear, but around in awareness" - James Thatcher Kerrie --- Where to next? I have been to Australia and enjoyed the openess and the friendliness of the people, making my jpurney safe. But since this bombing happened I think we have to defend our freedom to talk to everybody we encounter. As a traveller we also have a responsibility.
