It may seem a churlish thing for me to complain, when members have been so kind in rating my work.
However I do think it is a very bad practice to rate reports which are labelled as incomplete. This has happened to me twice htis week with a 5 and a 4. Of course I like getting 5*s -who doesn't? However I do like to feel I've earned them. As for giving less, I can't see how that can ever be justified on what is acknowledged by its author to be unready for grading.
I hope it's a practice which will be discontinued.
Cheers, David

hii david,
i m with you on this rating stuff, one shouldnt rate a report when it is incomplete( hoping that you have written incomplete on the main heading)
and if people even after SEEING INCOMPLETE ON HEADLINE rate a report ,is really bad.
i agree with Brit of giving some provision so as to enable/disable the reports.

Hello David,
I have noticed this problem and promised you that there will be a solution at the beginning of 2005. The report engine is a very complex system, and this is why it took a bit longer.
I am happy to tell you that GLOBO now offers the possibility to publish after editing, just like you requested.
You will notice a red colored text which will guide you through this process once you arrive at the last step inside the report publishing form. You can easily edit, upload pix and even come back later for working on it. Unpublished reports are marked red inside your list, once you login and they are invisible for anybody else. Please keep in mind, that once they are published, you can not ("unpublish") take them offline again.
Hope this helps,
Andy

Hi All,
I'm very happy to hear this also, whilst no one has rated any of my reports while they are incomplete. I do find it awkward trying to upload pictures on a report that members can already see and rate. It's a great idea for us to complete the report and then publish it.
Thanks

That is truly excellent! No more 3 star ratings for me (I hope) for incomplete reports. Thanks Andreas!
