Smalahove - head of lamb served in Norway

gardkarlsen Joined: Dec 02 Points: 2833 Posts: 55 Posted: 2003-12-23 13:32:00    Hi The other day I went to a restaurant in my hometown Stavanger and I had one Norwegian traditional dish called smalahove. It is actually half a sheep/lamb head which has been cooked and you can eat the flesh on the cheek, the eye, the tongue and so on. It was pretty tasty actually :-) I'm just wondering if there are other countries around the world where you eat lamb head like this...or any other "strange" food like this.
