I have a couple of postcards of the wonderful ceiling paintings in the Pantheon at the Basilica de San Isodoro in León, Spain. I presume I can show them on here if I can get their permission and attribue them properly and I should very much like to as I think they are marvellous and, quite rightly, photography is not allowed there.

However I can't find any website that could enable me to make contact to seek permission.

Can anybody help - please.

David

Hello David,

this is not a good idea. Scanning postcards leads most likely to problems with copy right. Even if you do get the permission of the, the question is who is permitting it from them and is this person authorised to do so. You as the uploader do take responsebility for copyright problems, however we would not like to see a case where this happens. The other point is, that once we do allow it to one person like you in this case we do have to allow it to everybody on GLOBO. That will most likely lead to problems. Who knows if Mr. X does have the permission when he scannes cards from elsewhere. This would mean that we have to keep a list of everybody who claims to have permission, and how is that to check?

Please do not upload scanned postcard pictures to GLOBO.

Best regards,

andy
