Those wishing to stay more than a day at Machu Picchu and not affording the expensive hotel directly on site will stay in the nearby chaotic tousist village of Aquas Calientes (hot waters / thermal springs). Deep down in the valley below the ruins and on the Urubamba River, it's the railway stop to the site, has now about 8 hostels/hotels to choose from.... [edit text][editors]
