The sky through the oculus's by pesu

Rom - Italy, Lazio of the Pantheon (built at the beginning of the 2nd century AD). The oculus is a circular opening with a diameter of 9 m on top of the huge cupola (height: 43 m). The floor in the Pantheon is higher in the middle than at the fringe (correct word?). Thus the rain water coming in through the hole in the cupola can drain off in a gully system.
