Thanks Eire! the landscape is so huge in real, that I had to aggregate 3 consecutive pix; for your info, this pass is 60 km , at a crow flies, from Everest base camp (3 hours drive)

climbed up just a bit over the base camp at 5300 m...forbidden to climb higher without special permit... the trek to base camp is 8km away from Rongphu monastery (each way), the last place one can reach with the 4WD...easy trek but you really need to be perfectly acclimated
