Santana has been noted for its triangular houses [as pictured] that are said to be typical of Madeira, although they seem to be good at preserving invisibility, other than one modern building in Funchal's Botanical Gardens.

Santana is now the home of the most expensive attraction on Madeira, The Madeira Theme Park, which would presumably be of appeal to children.

There is a funicular or cable-car near to the village, open for limited hours on weekdays. [edit text]  [editors]
