The Warm Mineral Springs are near a town called Loutraki, which is about 70km north of Thessaloniki.
For those who'd like a change of pace from the beaches and would like to relax and soak in the warm mineral springs (or just dip your feet), the water temperature is approx. 28-35 degrees celsius year round and known to be therapeutic, for arthritis, rheumatism, etc.
The area is beautiful, great for picnic lunch, however, there is a cafe & restaurant on the premises. The area also has a canyon, some caverns, and a museum that houses the discoveries from the caverns. I plan to check out the caverns on my next visit, since this time I just sat back and relaxed in the springs-and then under the waterfall-what a great massage!
There is also a hotel nearby, and a small market that sells some crafts, honey, and many of the herbal teas, herbs, etc.
In addition, the ancient town of Pella with it's ancient ruins is not far from Loutraki.
