Singapore is somehow different - the inhabitants are friendly and try to make you as comfortable as possible. The city is modern and seems to be a good place to live (except your a drugdealer or gum chewer) but besides it is rather boring -you can somehow tell, that it is an artificial society.
Favourite spots:
The Riverfront. The Airport (they got a pool there!)
What's really great:
It is a metropolitan area where different cultures and religions live peacefully together.
Sights:
Modern entertaining of every kind and the harbour with all it ships.
Restaurants:
At the river fronts are couple of nice looking restaurants. But more interesting is to have a snack in of the small chinese family run places.
