Hello,

I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about your Nepalese visit. I am planning on moving down there for 3-4 months in August, but that is all I know.... I'm not even sure the approach I want to take to the trip yet.

Anyway, Hope you have a good New Year.

Well i had a great time. I work with Nepalese students and they looked after me so well. I have a whole other 'family'.
I checked out your site too - cool!

Ey up fellow climbing type!!

Thank you so much for checking my site out...and liking it. hehe. Yes this was a climbing accident, I was warming up on a high boulder at Shipley Glen and one of the chipped pockets at the top of the problem was sweatty as anything as I went for top I just slipped out and down I flew!! Missing the bloody crashmats and denting the pride as well bummer.
No worries I fond this site and I have made some new mates hear its a good laugh. I still go climbing inside at Sheffield "The Edge" on a thursday night Keeps the old arms in anyway. And of course Yorkshire Grit will always take preferance over Welsh stuff anyday.
Take care , hope to here from you soon,

Matt

Roaches, Near Leek, Staffordshire

Posted: 2004-06-10 12:11 PM
Hi Rebekah,

I love your pictures of the Roaches. I first started to rock climb there as a small boy and still visit two or three times a year. The Roaches are in fact the end of the Penine Chain and the pride and joy of the Staffordshire Moorlands they are not in Derby or Derbyshire. Please, being a Leekensian and Staffordian - give us back our Roaches!!

Hope you are keeping well and travelling more and more

Best wishes,

Brit.

Himalaya, Himalaya...

Thanks for your interesting Nepal reports and pictures. They remind my my Everest trek years ago... I like most Ama Dablam view. But this picture seems not to be taken from Lukla, so where is this shower-with-a-view place?

Samui Slideshows

Posted: 2004-06-05 12:42 PM
Hi Rebekah,

Thank you for looking at my slide shows. I can see that you also love Thailand - it particularly shows in your Kanchanaburi article which I enjoyed reading so much. I am already looking forward to returning to Koh Samui later in 2004 and planning a few side trips to Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam and hopefully China.

Again thank you for looking at the pics!

Pompei

Hi Rebekah,

Pompeii is awesome. If you visit the ruins you almost can feel the atmosphere of pompei in that time.
By the way, this weekend I will upload more pictures of Pompei.

Take care and travel safe,
Jacco
