Did you have a nice time in that hostel? I would love to know that nothing has changed since I was last there, that it is still a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Thanks for your compliments about the Dingle photos... the west coast of Ireland is spectacular, and well worth a visit by anyone who loves scenery and history, it has both in abundance.
Also, I just noticed that you are the top point getter this week, with over 1000 points... well done!
I was browsing your photos, and noticed that we have been to many of the same places, and even taken some of the same shots... like this one: http://www.globosapiens.net/whereisliz/picture-fairytale-sunset-in-the-czech-republic-5632.html
Cesky Krumlov sure is a special place, yes?
Thanks for your excellent contributions to the site!!
Cheers,
Liz
you have asked me some things about Corsica. Well you can make your way with english, but extremly hard. Even if they do speak it, most of them just wan't do it. We walked into a couple of "tourist" restaurants and even they did not speak it. I gave up trying to be polite with "Bonjour, do you speak english ?" Best thing was just to start in german and wait till they offer english :-)
French is the way to go. If you speak it, great! They do not want to be ruled by the main land (as you can see by the shot signes :-), however french (or sort of it) is their language.

Suhadi - I am so glad that you enjoyed the photos from the Inka Trail. That trip was special because we were hiking the trail for several days and had a real opportunity to step back in time. Machu Picchu itself is incredible but the hiking the trail made it more so!
Last night my son (18) was describing the feeling of exploring Mayan ruins at sunrise to a friend: "It was like stepping into a time machine. As the sun rose, I felt like the city was still alive, but just sleeping, and like I was a high priest climbing the stairs of the temple to perform the morning ritual."
I look forward to more of your wonderful photos!
