Yes, Isabelle, I can imagine what you said about the reality. In the meantime I have seen other pics of the lake in a different atmosphere (with a soupcon of snow) - very captivating, too. Thanks for sharing!
Salut - Petra

funny - I watched your new pics and didn't come to terms with giving 5* to your Turquoise Lake photos. I love them!

Isabelle, I should clarify something after I got a warning message from Petra. I just would like to leave my comments and give you another perspective about how a native Chinese thinks of the situation in Tibet, China is open to you, you may do whatever you want there. I planned to go to Tibet too this may when I was back, but I had to cancel, because of the riots happened in March. Situation was dangerous, Tibetans used knives and weapons attacked people there. We, Han and Tibetan living peacefully more than 1000 years, I did not know why things changed dramatically. It is the faults of the chinese who also lived there thousands years with Tibetans or the so called Dalai Lama, who easily won the sympathy of the world for his smile! But things make big because he used your sympathy for private benefits. Did you know what his life was like before he left China? He did this really for the Tibetans?
Again, Isabelle, I had no intention to offend you, if you did feel this, i apologize

Oui, j’ai eu de la chance de me trouver, face à face, avec Hugo Chavez.
Peut être la bière c’est un lénitive pour survivre dans un pays qui, malgré l’abondance du pétrole, la plupart des gens sont pauvres.
L’eau minérale c’est cher mais, étant la bière so cheap, I preferred to drink beers all the time!.

Thanks for your message.
I have been travelling around our fascinating planet Earth, but now I am stuck in Spain looking for a job.
Once I will save enough money I want to explore the south of Sudan (Equatoria), a new independent country separated from Khartoum in the north.
You have posted lovely pictures of your recent trip to Tibet.
Au revoir
