Congrats on winning the AOM award for your Cambodia album. You've got some great pictures, and really brought back fond memories of my trip to the Siem Reap area in 2009. I wasn't able to make it to Phnom Penh during that trip, but would like to visit that city if I make it back to Cambodia. Cheers!

Thanks a lot for your wishes. I am already in Alexandria - ready for the 8-hours ride to the Siwa Oasis. So far it is quite here. Very few tourists, no demonstrations. And in the desert it should be even better regarding safety

I'm about to go to Jordan for a week which is really exciting. It's been over a year since I went away so you can imagine.

What about you any plans?

for your kind congratulation. Guess, the fact that this little pic won PoM (for Feb, though taken on March, 26th) shows that Globo still is in deep winter, unfortunately... Yes, I also hope for an active spring but honestly I am not very optimistic. :(

what a terrific slide show from places I would love to see so much! You are right, there are many photos on Globo but I can't get enough.. ;-) And your pics surely are with the best, really magical. Thank you for sharing them and the added info.

appreciate your note on my mom. came as a complete surprise, since i have been so busy these last few months and not as active as i should be on the site.

and glad you enjoyed my new york pictures, got lucky with those.

gave me a chance to check out your church images on the ukraine - i am always blown away by the ornate beauty of the orthodox churches.
