Terje,
I have heard that polar bears are very agressive. We have brown bears (that is their name) in California but they only want your food. Funny story:
When I was 9, my father, brother & I went backpacking-no tent. We were on the 2nd night, in a storm with the most aggressive bears I have ever seen. They came all night, again & again. In the morning we were fishing and saw a helicopter gently drop a huge brown thing in a net. Bear! Turns out that this wilderness was where the Rangers were tranquilizing and releasing incorigable (badly behaved) bears that were raiding campgrounds lower down.
I have watched bears fish in the high country and they are amazing, beautiful cretures!

Hi, Burghclere is an hour south west of London and about 40 mins south of Oxford. It's very small, so I'm not suprised you haven't heard of it!

It is a real thrill to many of us to see a number of newcomers taking awards. keep it up!

Too bad you had only 2 days in Prague! It's a pity that couldn't stay long in this city. It's my most memorable city in all of my travels so far.. It's really a romantic city, yes... Great job on your report!

Welcome to GLOBOsapiens and our world of travel. Thanks for your first *** report too and sorry I was too critical in my comments and its placing, all the islands places seem to be designated to the continent USA by mistake. Hope we can fix this, i'll ask staff. You can always also choose/fix a new place name by using the proceedure at www.globosapiens.net/topic-how-to...-add-a-new-place_34_1632_0000.html that way members will find it easier.

Hi Terje
It was good to talk to you today. I expect you know about these two sites:
http://www.nzcal.com/hp/hvmorton/index.php
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/Author%3DMorton%2C%20H.V./203-3117930-4645527
If you've not used Amazon's second hand books, I can only say that I've never been disapointed yet.
Cheers
David
