Good morning, Jill,
just before going to work I want to tell you how much I enjoyed your new slide show. Compositions, colours and texts are really great. Have a nice day - Petra

thank you for your interest

Hi Jill,
I love your National Parks and I have special emotional connections with some of them - Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion. I have been there many times, last time- two weeks ago.

I liked very much your Zion Narrows slideshow. I think you have excellent and better photographs of Narrows than me. It is a difficult place to capture well and balanced.

Thank you for your comments on my pictures. It is always rewarding when you attract somebody's interest with your postings.

Best wishes,

Geri

balloons

Thanks for looking at my pix. The little girl with the balloon came back every day to ask for more. I had a whole bag of them , I think she and her friends got most of them.

Corrupted in Central Asia

Posted: 2008-08-22 09:27 PM
Hiya,

I managed to avoid giving bribes, although there were a few situations that were sticky, and the locals expected me to reach out to my pockets. But I didn't! I know that some say that this is just a way of life in some places (Nigeria and Cameroon being worst) but I am rather disgusted by this, you know.

I am writing a few reports from the trip (obviously :)) and there will be a few more pix, mainly from Samarkand and Turkistan, which were also superb for sights.

Best regards
Krys

Bukhara (UZ)

Hi Jill,

I had fantastic weather in Uzbekistan! There were hardly any clouds and the temperature was hitting 40C (103F) on most days. I was lucky with slightly cooler 26C (80F) in Khiva, which is usually the hottest. I had such a great time there.

Many thanks for your kind comments to the pix.

Kind regards
Krys

Heat!

Jill,
Egypt was fantastic, and so unexpected! The heat was killer though. 115 - 120f daily but at least it was dry heat!

Thanks for looking at the album. It is so easy to shot a good pic when everything around you is so beautiful! Nature does the work for you!

traffiic jam and Alsace.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my little picture. Before writing this note I peeked into your album on Alsace.
Thr close up of grapes. the fortified church the early morning and the fair tale towns made me catch my breath.

Hi Jill,
Nic, Chrissi and I are very pleased about your comments! Have I already told you that I love your pictures from Charleston's gardens??? Many of your photos show me very nice views from places I know like those from Stein am Rhein, Venedig, Salzburg, Gardasee,Siena, Monteriggioni, Pisa, Elsass, Bayern, Mykonos, Luzern, Paris, Grand Canyon, Ephesus, Ravensburg, Bologna, San Gimignano, Rothenburg and Prag... It's so interesting to watch them - as it is to watch the unknown ones. Please, excuse my English...
Best wishes from Mannheim - Petra
