A very Big Apple

Biggest mass of business and financial services and opputunities on the globe, must be seen to appreciate, no pictures or words can describe the energy there. No wonder that some are jeolous and attack it.

My second trip to New York, spent only 4 days on a business trip with my friend Harry. He needed an interpretor and I needed an adventure. We got business done relatively easily but city authorities did send us in circles getting approval and registration done for Harry's new corporation. At one time we couldnt get a taxi and walked the five blocks (quite a distance) to the next meeting, only learning afterwards about the two/three/five finger system indicating the willingness to pay double/triple/5x the normal fare.

Favourite spots:
Almost like Las Vegas at night!
Almost like Las Vegas at night!
Seeing how the NY Stock Exchange works, Madisson Square Gardens, Central Park, Broadwayat night (a must).

What's really great:
Hey, hey, hey!
Hey, hey, hey!
Helicopter ride (15 minutes) over Manhattan and its bridges, Getting cheuffeured in a stretched limosine. Funny, the service at the hotel improved dramatically when we arrived back in the limosine, suddenly also the uncertain room-booking for the extended stay also resolved suddenly!

Sights:
Circus time at madison Square Gardens

- view from Empire State Building.

- the shows on Broadway or just window shopping at night.

- both Chinatown and Little Italy offer dozens of good restaurants.

Other recommendations:
Skyline with Statue of Liberty
Skyline with Statue of Liberty
Statue of Liberty and (now) Ground Zero...we drove past the World Trade Center then, saying we'll go up there next time. Whilst traveling one should never miss an opputunity if its possible. I blame myself for spending too much in the hotel room!
