Where the Poles Play at the Baltic

  7 votes
Ustka has done a good job marketing itself as a beach destination for the Polish people so you won't hear a lot of English spoken, but it's a nice holiday beach town.

East Side Beach - very popular!
East Side Beach - very popular!
The East side beach is very popular by the promenade, restaurants, & hotels. The beaches in Poland are long with white sand and go for miles. You can opt to crowd in or go farther east or to the west side if you want more room & solitude. Besides tourism this is a fishing port. At the harbor you will see the fishing boats leaving & arriving with their catch. If you like fresh sea food, you'll love the Polish beach towns at the Baltic like Ustka.

Favourite spots:
The Promenade
The Promenade
The Promenade is the best place to people-watch and get a view of the latest in beach-wear fashion.

What's really great:
Farther down East side beach
Farther down East side beach
What can be better than summer time at the beach & watching all the families having fun at the sea?

Accommodations:
Hotel Dajana patio by Promenade
Hotel Dajana patio by Promenade
We spent 5-days in August at Hotel Dajana with balcony views over the Promenade & beach. Their patio next to the Promenade was a great place to watch all the people going by. We also spent a few days in November at the Hotel Stach. The owner even gave us a free ride into Slupsk to catch our train back to Warsaw. That is service!

Restaurants:
Fishing boat arriving with catch

If you like fresh fish the restaurants along the harbor will make you happy with their selections.

Other recommendations:

The harbor area with it's Pirate Ship, Light House, restaurants, & fishing boats will give you plenty of opportunities to enjoy Ustka.
