Table mountain is the most prominent mountain in South Africa and overlooking the whole of Cape Town, Robben island, and the direction of Campsbay and Cape Point. On the day of our visit the mountain was every now and then covered with thick mist and a very cold South Eastern wind blowing strongly. The visit was wonderfull, but my advice to anyone who plans to visit the mountain is to visit during the months October to April due to the rainy season during their winter time in May to September which effect the visability and radical changes in tempretures. A very well equiped restaurant with the best red wines and hot meals was available to comfort us . The cable way is perfect but for those who prefer a hiking trail from the bottom to the top and visa versa is also available. You can also buy a oneway ticket either up or down and then walk the path either up or down. Please Enjoy
