Gol Ghumaj at Bijapur

Bijapur is a city in stae of Karnataka in India. It was capital city of the dynasty of Adilshaha who ruled for around 3 centuries. there are mny buildings which shows the signs of ruined dynasty

there is a building called Gol Ghumaj. its a vast dome designed in such a way that if you whisper at the wall, it is clearly heard at the daigonally opposite place. the diameter is around 200 meter but you can hear the sound of the paper being torn off. the building is actually a tomb of a family belonging to the ruling dyanasty. there are many buildings which are still in good forms even after 400 years. a building is similar to Taj mahal but built in black stone, not white as Taj mahal

There are many old buildings in the old city. the palace, the garden and the Gol ghumaj in particular
