Dresden - Germany, Sachsen Constructed under the aegis of August the Strong, this Protestant church today welcomes people of all faiths for prayer and personal devotion. Destroyed in WWII, it was rebuilt in 1994-2006 from the original architectural plans. The doors were copied from old wedding photos. Where available, stones saved from the rubble were placed as close as possible to their original positions - the stones from prewar days can be recognized by their dark color set against the new ones.
