Hofkirche - Cathedral of the Holy Trinity's by siffer

Dresden - Germany, Sachsen To mollify the Pope and retain the title of King of Poland held by his father August the Strong, Elector Frederick Augustus II imported Italian architects and construction workers to build this great Baroque cathedral overlooking the Elbe with statues of saints, apostles, and popes on the roof and statues of The Graces in the steeples. Inside find the tombs of 50 members of the Wettin royal family, a 3000 pipe organ, and the heart but not the rest of the body of August himself. The church was totally reconstructed after WWII.
