Mustafapasa - Turkey, NevĀ¶ehir This small peaceful village south of Urgup has been a heritage protected site since 1981 with over 100 houses awaiting restoration. Sadly and unlike Ayvali, the entire village is not protected and new modern cookie cutter hotels are being planned. The village has existed since the 2nd C and became a vacation haven for Greek businessmen in the 19th C. Turks and Greeks lived side by side till the forced repatriation of 1923. Their cut block tufo stone mansions remain, interspersed more than most towns with the modern buildings around them.
