Delft - Netherlands, Zuid-Holland Delft's photogenic town hall is closed to visitors, still in active use. A 20th C renovations restored the original Renaissance architecture from the early 17th C. The limestone tower in the rear was used as a prison, extant since the 13th C. It has long been the venue for marriages, going back to Johannes Vermeer.
